EU Roma Platform has been launched last April 2008

Towards Constructive Evidence Based Policy – Meeting of Integrated Platform on Roma Inclusion

European Commission and Czech Presidency celebrated a one day seminar on April 24, 2009 with at around 50 participants and the presence of Commissioner Špidla and Czech minister for human rights and national minorities Michael Kocáb.

There is a broad agreement that the new EU platform should provide for an open and flexible environment which enables all key actors – EU institutions, Member States, civil society and other international actors and initiatives – to exchange knowledge, experience and good practice, to make (and renew) commitments for initiatives as well as possibly monitor progress achieved.
