The European Commission has published on its website the National Roma Integration Strategies of the 15 Member States that had submitted them by the deadline of 31st December 2011: France, Romania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, Finland, Slovakia, Poland and Malta.
The EU Framework proposed by the European Commission in April and adopted by the European Council in June 2011 called on Member States to submit a global strategy for Roma integration (either a completely new strategy or an improved existing strategy) before the end of 2011. Only 15 of the 27 Member States have respected the deadline. The Commission hopes to receive the national strategies of the 12 Member States missing as soon as possible.
The National Roma Integration Strategies are available on the European Commission’s website at: http://ec.europa.eu/justice/discrimination/roma/national-strategies/index_en.htm
The documents are available in the language in which Member States have submitted the information (in general terms the language(s) of the country) but they will be translated to English.
