Released in May, the report assesses the measures adopted by Member States to implement the EU Framework and makes recommendations on priorities that Member States should further address.
FRA/UNDP report on the situation of Roma in 11 EU Member States
The EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have released a report on the socio-economic situation of Roma and non-Roma living nearby in 11 EU Member States and in neighbouring European countries.
EURoma Network meets in May in Bratislava

The EURoma Network held its half-yearly meeting in May in Bratislava hosted by the Slovak partners. It brought together over 55 participants to discuss a wide range of topics related to Roma and Structural Funds which are currently on the European agenda.

Commission publishes report on extraordinary meeting of European Platform for Roma Inclusion

The European Commission has published the report of the Extraordinary meeting of the European Platform for Roma Inclusion which took place on 22nd March 2012 in Brussels. The meeting focused on the implementation of the National Roma Integration Strategies.

European NGOs launch EU Money for Poverty Reduction NOW! campaign

Launched by 14 European social NGOs under the lead of the European Anti-Poverty Network, the campaign urges Member States to respect their commitments to reduce poverty by ensuring that the necessary EU Funds are allocated for social inclusion and the fight against poverty.

European network of Mayors Making the Most of EU Funds for Roma Inclusion (MERI)

The ‘Making the Most of EU Funds for Roma’ programme in cooperation with the European Commission has launched a new initiative to establish a European network of local authorities which have implemented -or plan to implement- programmes supporting integration of vulnerable groups with a focus on Roma.

Final Conference of EU Roma Pilot Project on Access to Early Childhood Education and Care
The final conference of the ‘A Good Start’ project, one of the three EU Roma Pilots launched by the European Parliament and financed by the European Commission (DG REGIO), took place on 4th June in Brussels.
Commission publishes Common Strategic Framework for preparation of Partnership Contracts for the 2014-2020 period

The Commission proposals to elaborate the Common Strategic Framework (CSF) aim to help Member States with the preparations of the Partnership Contracts for the 2014-2020 programming period. Roma integration is a key element of the proposals.

What works for Roma inclusion in the EU: Policies and model approaches

Released by the European Commission, the publication aims to support the work of policymakers in implementing National Roma Integration Strategies and in planning and developing policy plans and projects whilst providing support to public and private organisations working with Roma.
