	Acceder Study Visit - Spain LEARNING FROM THE EXPERIENCE In the framework of the Employment Working Group of EURoma, the Technical Secretariat organised a study visit to share methodologies, tools and strategies followed by Acceder programme: promoting the access of the Roma population to the labour market.

	Expert preparatory meeting for Defining the EU Integrated Platform for Roma Inclusion The Czech Presidency of the EU Council together with the European Commission organised in Prague last 26 and 27 February an expert preparatory meeting for defining the EU Integrated Platform for Roma. The main objective of this meeting was to collect and share opinions from different stakeholders on the meaning, contents and mechanisms of operation of a European platform for the social inclusion of the Roma

	European Parliament passes resolution on improving EU labour market access for the Roma Members of the EP Employment and Social Committee MEPs calls for a comprehensive strategy to integrate the Roma community into the European Union in an own-initiative report.

	Joint Report on Social Protection and Social Inclusion 2009 On March 9th, 2009 the EPSCO (Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs) Council and the Commission jointly adopted the 2009 Joint Report on Social Protection and Social Inclusion

	Spain announces the 2nd European Roma Summit during the 2010 EU Spanish Presidency The Summit will take place in Córdoba on the 8th April 2010 (International Roma Day). Spanish Minister of Education, Social Policy and Sports, Mercedes Cabrera, made this announcement during the Conference ''Facing the future: key factors in the development of the Roma population''
