EURoma Network will hold its next Management Committee meeting in Bucharest on 11–12 June, hosted by Romanian partners. National Roma Contact Points and ESF+ and ERDF managing authorities from EURoma partner countries will review various aspects related to the use of EU Funds to promote Roma equality and inclusion. Representatives of the European Commission as well as the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will also join the meeting. As it is usually the case, represenattives from authorities and organisations from Romania, as host country, will also take part in the meeting, notably the second day, which will be focused on the situation of the country.

The next EURoma Management Committee meeting will offer participants the opportunity to review EU legislative developments of relevance for Roma equality and inclusion, including current ones such as the ongoing reporting process on implementation of EU Framework on Roma equality, inclusion and participation as well as upcoming ones, including the EU Anti-Racism Strategy, the EU Anti-Poverty Strategy and the European Affordable Housing Plan. They will also discuss on the impact of the European Child Guarantee on Roma children, based on the joint analysis that EURoma and Eurochild have carried out on how Roma children are addressed in Member States´ biennial implementation reports on the Child Guarantee.

Time will also be devoted to the use of EU Funds for Roma equality and inclusion, looking at aspects related to the implementation of the 2021-2027 programming period as well as to the future Multiannual Financial Framework, which is currently being discussed.

Participants will also have the opportunity to gain a better insight on the Romanian context, including the situation of Roma, the existing policy and financial framework related to Roma equality and inclusion as well specific experiences, notably those related to the use of European Cohesion Policy Funds but also to other funds.

EURoma Management Committee meetings, which bring together the Network partners, are one of the key instruments for mutual learning and transfer of experience on EU funds and Roma equality and inclusion among the Network partners. These regular meetings take place twice a year and provide an excellent platform for exchange, discussion and agreement on key issues.

The Bucharest meeting is supported by the Social Innovation Initiative.
